A huge thank you to everyone who has helped to elect me to be a councillor in Midlothian.  I said throughout the campaign that I believe I can make a difference to the council and now it is time for me to prove that.

And I can promise that I will do everything I can and any shortcomings will never be down to lack of effort.

It was a very tough fight for an Independent candidate without the infrastructure and support of a party machine to support me, and I am therefore very grateful to everyone who gave of their time and energy to help.
